Luxus Developments (Pty) Ltd is proud to announce its appointment as part of the Raulux Consortium, the preferred bidder for the redevelopment of the Lebombo Port of Entry, one of South Africa’s busiest and most strategically important border posts. The Lebombo Border Post between South Africa and Mozambique is undergoing a multi-million-rand redevelopment through a public-private partnership, aimed at transforming it into a world-class one-stop border post. This initiative forms part of a broader national programme to modernise key land ports of entry and strengthen regional trade integration.
A Strategic Infrastructure Project
Located on the Mozambique corridor, the Lebombo Port of Entry plays a critical role in facilitating cross-border trade and regional economic activity. The redevelopment will significantly enhance the port’s efficiency, capacity, and security, supporting increased freight volumes and improving the overall movement of goods and people.
Luxus Developments (Pty) Ltd’s Role in the Raulux Consortium
As a member of the Raulux Consortium, alongside Raubex, Exhantini Investments, Vulindlela Concessions, and Harith General Partners, Luxus Developments (Pty) Ltd brings its expertise in infrastructure development and project delivery to this large-scale redevelopment. In addition to its development role within the consortium, Luxus Developments (Pty) Ltd will also perform the operations and maintenance subcontractor activities for the project, supporting the long-term sustainability and operational efficiency of the border post. Construction is expected to take place over an estimated three-year period, with a phased rollout designed to minimise disruption to ongoing operations at the border.
